RJ Effman Creative Arts, LLC is an independent creative studio founded by RJ Effman. After decades of professional writing, research, international projects and communication experience, RJ returned to her lifelong love of storytelling. She began with creating original children’s literature. Inspired by family and grandchildren, her work emphasizes friendship, imagination, curiosity, humor, and the joy of reading across generations. RJ has collaborated with her grandson, James M., to create the Ellie and Jax series.

Hi! My name is James. I am 5 years old. My Grandma and I wrote this book together when I was 4 years old. She said we are "Co-Authors." We used our imagination to make up this funny pretend story at nap time. Ellie and Jax are best friends who love going on adventures. They explore, find treasures, and discover new things everyday.
